A quick shout-out to my wonderful husband, and Elliott's wonderful father, who at this very moment is upstairs folding laundry! I couldn't ask for a better husband.
Notice the drool mark on his shoulder, the mark of a true man!

One Word...
A year ago today, I found out my life was going to change forever.
It started out innocently enough, and the only indication of a growing fetus was a word on a stick:
Then there was sickness, followed by raging hormones. Then there was weight-gain. Then an expanding stomach, more weight-gain, and insane water-retention:
Then there was the longest, hottest summer of my life. Then there was fall. Then there was mounting excitement, as the day of his arrival drew near (there was still weight-gain). Then, one morning as I layed on my bed having my swollen ankles lotioned-up, my water broke.
Then there was this:
:
I had no idea how instantly I could love someone. He has changed my life. When I'm getting out of bed in the middle of the night to tend to a baby who just wants his mother, I don't mind, I am flattered. I am flattered that he wants me. Little does he know though, that I need him.
It's amazing how one little word can change your world.
